About Us
KwaMashu Family and Child Welfare Society is a community-based non-profit organisation committed to the protection of children, the strengthening of families, and the promotion of social well-being in KwaMashu and surrounding communities.
We provide professional social welfare services aimed at preventing abuse and neglect, preserving family units, and supporting vulnerable children, individuals and families. Our work is guided by compassion, integrity and a deep understanding of the social challenges faced by our community.
Through partnerships with government, donors and community stakeholders, we strive to create safe environments where children are protected and families are empowered to thrive.

Our Story
KwaMashu Family and Child Welfare Society was established to respond to the growing needs of vulnerable children and families within the KwaMashu community and surrounding informal settlements. (Bester, Siyanda, Lindelani, Qhakaza, Richmond Farm). . Rooted in compassion and community service, the organisation was formed to ensure that children are protected, families are supported, and dignity is upheld.
Over the years, we have worked alongside families, community leaders and government partners to address challenges such as abuse, neglect and family breakdown. Our approach focuses on early intervention, prevention and long-term family stability.
Today, we remain committed to building safer environments for children and strengthening families through professional social welfare services and community-driven solutions.
